This mask had an issue with the right half of the mask when I removed it from the mold, so instead, I turned an error into something unique!

I sculpted a goggle in place of the right eye and added a orange lens, faux leather straps, and brass eyelets. Its painted with a crackle glaze and coated with pearl white and gold paint.

This in a unique, one of a kind item!

This is an incredibly cool idea to begin with, but your execution is really spot on! I LOVE the effect of the leather straps going across and up the ear, my eye just keeps being drawn back to it. Wow...I just really really like this.

What materials is the base made out of?

Thanks for your comment, its much appreciated!

The base is made out of celluclay (its a type of paper pulp) It ends up being much thicker than traditional paper mache so it holds up really well even with the tension from the straps I have going across it.
